About Us
In 1991 we began developing the concept of a community-based program that could provide rehabilitation, education, and wellness services to all ages. The belief was that an exceptional staff combined with a warm and friendly environment would allow our clients to reach their highest level of independence. The challenge-could we create a positive and healing experience that recognized each person for their special and unique abilities by bringing the wisdom and experience of age with the energy and curiosity of the young? Could we create an environment that celebrated diversity and use this as a tool to foster healing and enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families? Our team had experience in health care as well as expertise in their own fields. Jerry Cruitt, Architect, designed the spaces. JoAnn Blake, CPA, put together the business plan and budget. Diane Ross, who had been the director for Nevada Communication Services for 19 years, wrote policies and procedures and began gathering professionals who shared a passion for this concept. In 1993, after a very difficult labor, The Continuum was born. We welcome the opportunity to give you a tour and explain our programs. |
